| Kado Winter 2009 Like a piece of trash Kado was thrown out of a car along an empty country road. The excuses are many -we've heard them all. Didn't know what they were getting into? Not cute anymore? Moving? Divorcing? Can't afford him? Kado is a boy full of joy and enthusiasm for life. He is the first one out of bead in the morning and often the last to go to sleep. Everyday is spent as an adventure for what is new and exciting. He loves all people and will run to greet visitors instantly flopping down for his favorite tummy rub. If he sees another pig being petted he will walk close, flop over exposing his belly and wait his turn. His eyes twinkle and he smiles at the touch of fingers to his tummy! How Kado came to Pigs Peace Sanctuary As a young unneutered pig Kado was witnessed left abandoned on the side of a road by boys who took him to the local animal shelter. Kado's exuberant behavior was labeled aggressive by shelter staff and he was listed as unadoptable and to be euthanized if Pigs Peace Sanctuary was not able to take him. We kneew we had a friend to help in this part of the state. Sanctuary supporter and pig lover extrodinaire, Charlie Haney, did not hesitate to help and quickly visited Kado in the shelter. Thanks to her soon he was on his way to a new life. It was with her determinatino and love Kado lives happy, free and understood at PPS.
